Re: lydd on sea

hi graham, lydd doesn't get fished a great deal due to dungie being so near,it is however a good venue for whiting in the winter and bass in the summer to name a few,
dungeness on the other hand is legendary, its deep water and strong tides make it an excellent beach for numerous species, from 20lb cod in the winter to large bass in the summer you rarely blank there,
the point is the hotspot at dungie, this is where the tide is at its strongest,it can be a bit of a tackle graveyard at times but it can also throw up some serious catches,
the eastern side of the point towards the lifeboat station is shallower and is a perfect beach to fish during a south westerly gale, flatfish are plentiful here,
west of the point in front of the power station can be better for bass and i find it good for the sole when in season,
when you are thinking of going give me a shout and i will try to get up to date info about how it is fishing and how best to tackle it,
best of luck mate
