Cod ? Or the lack of ??

Hi guys ! happy newyear to you all ! OK so can anyone tell me ? Are There any Cod /Codling being caught anywhere either off the boats or land ?Within reach of Llanelli. Just come back from Yorkshire !! tackle dealers keep saying Cod are coming off certain beachs? as far as i can tell where ever you fish you may as well be on the Moon ! s

P.S. is`nt there supposed to be a small boat comp from Swansea Soon ??

Heard a report of 9 cod being taken by a Penarth charter last week. My area of the channel seems to have been hit and miss all winter, people start reporting cod and then they are gone again.

It's the same down here. Get bursts of cod activity and then nothing for days.

My part of the World...Bristol Channel, they have been catching them from Aust near to New Passage and from Redwick.

Boats have been recording double figure Cod in their catches. Mainly in lower Estuary out of Portishead.

Baits Lug or Lug/squid and Whole Squid.

If it stays mild for a few weeks it would be worth giving New Passage a go. They are still feeding on shrimps and Crab.

plenty of cod in suffolk on the right beach i had 17 up till christmas and i know there have been more since then

two nice cod cought on the 4th just off watchet on small boat one was 14 lb and 21lb and small codling off wall and beach

Now then yorky,i fished Holmpton on the east yorks coast over xmas,when i got down on the beach there was one lad packing up,he had 2 cod about 3lb each.
I fished the tide up ,had one cod bumped off in the surf and that was that apart from whiting.
The local matches earlier had done well with cod in the river and coast i think its very hit and miss at the mo.

I Fished a day tide at Ulrome. Nothing!! then a night tide at Mappleton Nothing !! Oh sorry ! two small Whiting on one cast at top of the tide ! then Nothing !
