| trip number two, april 1st - hartley's now def got the fishing bug & seeing as my car is still duff it was decided he'd drive this week. the day started badley coz i got dragged back into work to cover a colleague's shift  then as the shift finished i got the message that the car has been done  & will cost £1300  .it can be collected b4 17.00 . or wait till next tuesday due to easter shut down :message recieved at 17.00 this weeks crew comprised of Hartley- seaangling novice. myself- general good guy and fountain of angling knowledge plus Ashley & Nutty (natasha) to cut a long story short & maybe get to the point , we fished avon beach from nine pmish till about one am and all of us blanked in style with not even a single bite noted . anglers fishing a local match at t'other end of the beach reported simmalar dismal results with just the odd pout or rockling captured. ( i wonder if the tagging program continues here for these species?) 2 for 2,- 100% blanks this year, its enough to make ya loose your mind, i seem to have anyway __________________ beer so many venues, so little time.     |

| Re: trip number two, april 1st Weather will get better soon, its been off the norm for a while. Allthough saying that its great weather for rainbows on the fly. My son is on his holidays and its perfect for the river for a wild brownie or a springer/salmon but he has the cold. Tight lines. |

| Re: trip number two, april 1st Unlucky Gord. It's been like that for us all year so far. I'm currently running at a 50% blank rate, and even that's mainly due to putting out size 4's and scratching out rockling. Dire mate. Absolutely dire.  Quote:
