Charmouth 18th April Hopefully I'll be able to get down to the coast on this day, and if anyone would like to join us, please feel free, more fun, and advice, always needed. Also any suggestions re bait, I have squid, sandeels and mackie in the freezer, plus some limpets, and would probably pick up some lug if poss. Any advice gratefully recieved. __________________ Ignore the margins at your peril

Re: Charmouth 18th April heres some info matt and anyone else thinking of going good tide that day low water at 15.13 @ 0.8Mtr going to a high at 21.53@ 4.1Mtr dependant on arrival /departure time park if possible in the beach carpark as others shut at 9pm , beach car park 60p hour till 9pm over the low i would go left over the river and past the green teahut and first landslip by 100-200yrds ![]() as you can see its a mass of exposed rock/pebble before that now after winter storms ![]() going with a short cast with lug/rag on a 1/0 or 2/0 ..2 hook flapper for the bass and a better cast with 2/0 pulley penneled sandeel for the ray which should be in by then( although as tide comes in shorten cast) personnally i dont bother with any other bait here, although rich loves bluey over high fish from on top of landslip or move back to the prom as is clean ground infront of there again ![]() same tactics i will try to keep an eye on conditions as can get nasty on a big south or S/W wind now off to grovel a pass ![]() dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives Last edited by pingu; 04-12-2010 at 07:36 PM.

Re: Charmouth 18th April I can't wait, this is my madly busy time of the year, working all kinds of horrible hours. Fingers crossed the weather will OK, not expecting perfection, but no howling gales, in fact a little bit of rain might keep the hordes of the beach. A couple of friends will be joining us I think, my GP and fearless Fi, for a combination of fossiling and fishing. __________________ Ignore the margins at your peril

Re: Charmouth 18th April I'm looking forward to it, have a range of baits lurking in the freezer, plus I was thinking of buying some prawns before leaving, as an extra bait. __________________ Ignore the margins at your peril
