| 2010 trip 2- t/q mission- introduce a mate ( Hartley) to the noble art of sea angling. like me he has deserted the darkside for now. prospects- pretty dire, hence venue selection. venue- town quay , southampton. we had a problem squeezing a session into a busy schedule with work/family commitments . Hartley, Ashley & myself fished from approx 21.00 till 01.00 when a mixture of cold, boredom and work for 'H' this morning made us quit. weather was cold ,dry with little moon light. 1st high tide was due about 21.30. bait was restriced to squid/ bluey/ sticky blacks. rigs were a bit random - pennel pully ( looking 4 thornies) flappers/wishbones & a nice simple flowing trace for Hartley. with he 1st cast 1st blood went to Hartley with a not unexpected pin whiteing on a bluey/squid cocktail ![]() sorry mate , crap photography keeps you anonamous. latter i added one of my own for the specie hunt. ![]() by 1am we left for home, final scores- Hartley 2 whiteing & a velvet swimmer (carrying eggs which i thought unusal) ![]() Ashley- nominal blanker thats unusual.and myself with just a couple of whiteing , i did livebait one but there was no interest so i let him swim off and returned to an unsuccessful thornie hunt __________________ beer so many venues, so little time. |
