| Milford/ Town Quay 10/3/10 Well it was a Milford tide tonight so I gave it four hours or so down there, fishing H/W and the fiirst couple of the ebb. Wasn't expecting much as it's still a month or so early for down there but tried for an early ray. Fished sandeel/bluey cocktails on one rod for ray all night and scratched with rag on another. Every bait came back exactly as it went out. Spoke to two others down there and they had the same result. On the plus side there wasn't a hint of weed all night (makes a change for one of my sessions). Got bored of that and as I had more worm left than expected I went to town quay for an hour to use up some of the worm. It was slow there too but there was life! I only fished the one rod but had a pin whiting and a schoolie of about 3/4 of a pound. Took a happy snap of the whiting for the species hunt: ![]() |
