Re: Roker Pier Sunderland

Welcome to the forum.

I know of a couple of people who fished it in November and they had some whiting, codling and flounders.

It's s'posed to be good in summer for macky!

Re: Roker Pier Sunderland

hi mate i fish roker pier regular but lately have joined a club down the road so dont fish like i used to anyway for roker pier first thing make sure the wind is not eastly or north eastly as the council shut it sometimes rightly sometimes wrong but the best place in my humble opinion is the roundhead on the end lug rag mackie squid r the best for the cod ive had some good fish from there however if you do go and the pier is shut try the ratty can be good turn right instead of left dont park in car park if fishing at night the gates are shut at 10 pm giz a shout when you go ill try to come down

Thumbs up Re: Roker Pier Sunderland

Hi everyone
back from roker met Dazza on pier great to meet a formite in person very helpful plenty of tips and suggestions thanks again Dazza.
fishing was patchy however with westerly wind behind sea was virtually flat calm may have affected fish coming in close.
anyway ended up with 6 whiting 1 2lb cod and just as callig it a day 2 coalies
took the bait within 10 mins of each other.
will certainly try again hopefully when sea is running better
regards
Allan
