Late report 14-Feb 2010

Belated report 14 Feb 2010.

Back last year a mate Trev joined Wrecksite which lists all known wrecks world wide which have been dived,
the info is great giving a discription of the wreck, condition, which way it lays, name of ship, reason of sinking
and picture of ship before being sunk plus loads more.

So armed with six new wrecks we set off at silly o'clock for the forty mile trip to the first one, new numbers
entered on the plotter and as we neared it all eyes were on the fish finder, a large lump standing thirty feet off
the seabed came on the screen, GAME ON!

Rigs were flying collar and lures consisted of shads twin tails and sidewinders, each of us on a different colour,
first few drifts produced a few small pollock in the 5-7lb range. Around 9am we were joined by Sea Breezes out of
Brighton a large cat with 12 anglers onboard, greetings exchanged Ray called for a move, another wreck some six
miles away, the fish played ball and were bigger.

Me with two from the first wreck and Dean with his first from the second.

Greaham with his first fish, he was having a nightmare finding the wreck more than the fish.

Trev who had put in hard work finding these wrecks

Not to be out done Ray joined in,

Biggest fish of the day topping 24lbs

Tony with one of the small ones.

All to soon it was time to head home.

Trev just before he started filleting, we took 38 fish between us most into double figures, yet another great day
on Indie.

Looks some great sport John. I'll have to check out that website. Anything within range of a Strikeliner?
