1st trip of 2010, was planned for last night with a drive down to t/q followed by sort of stokes/eastney/ hayling in the morning ,
however a warm ,dry bed was a damn sight more enviteing that a wet cold beach, so that was the end of that.
the day dawned dry and so with thin lizzy discs blasting on the speakers
(i'd forgotten just how good the guitar sounds on 'waiting for an alibi' if you play it loud enough)
i set off for bexi/burton, faught the damned vw for the last 30 mile b4 arriveing in west bay for a burger, the wind had picked up & the surf was roaring



it looked a bit too wild for what i had planned which was just a relaxing dangle to blow the cobwebs out of my gear after a long break so headed back to weymouth for shelter and cheaper fuel.

after a search around i ended up here,



fished the flood for 5 hours , didn't see a bite the location was drafty but much more pleasant away from the big surf.

baits were rag, sticky black, mackerel , squid, hermits & bluey.

rigs were wishbones with size 3 hooks & 1's
a shallow mark , but i thought maybe something might turn up as the water was well coloured.

Never mind mate, it's still a bit early in the year. Won't be long until the summer species start to show. I'm off to get us a few points on the darkside tomorrow....
