| struggled at beer last night last night was the feb leg of the wednesday league the venue had been decided as beer harbour, although a venue i quite like its not somewhere i've ever had much success at 9 ventured out on an increasingly weather threatening evening , but the sea was looking ok rich, 3 others and myself went east and the other 4 stayed central ours was the wrong move and we all blanked and lost gear( knew tackle loss would be bad here , always is), but shanes fire/inferno kept us all amused , and the banters always good in the end only 3 caught all with rockling. so well done to andy for comeing first with 4 mighty rockling unfortunately in our haste to depart at the end i still have the beer spot prize for him in my car  ( honest i wont drink it ) next months on a huge spring tide on wed 3rd at seaton    dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |

| Re: struggled at beer last night T'was a good night, but to be honest I didn't even do that much fishing. Beer seems to be the snaggiest beach in the world for me and every cast was taking a lots of "steady pressure" to retrieve. I lost 3 sets in rapid sucession after about an hour and a half and that coupled with the fact that it's Febuary and there are no fish in the sea  , meant I decided to give up and go and help Shane nearly set fire to his shelter!Several others had much the same idea. The fishing really was that bad, but we had a bloody good laugh stood round the fire and even heard about one members secret desires for Anne Robinson. He knows who he is, but mate, I just want you to know that there is help out there is you just ask for it....  Another good club night even if the fishing was cr*p. Roll on March.... __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. Bait…… BAIT! Sh*t, where’s the bait? |
