| Re: Help me catch a ray late spring onwards would bring the odds into your favour , distance casting can help at some venues and fishing evening tides will help .........but also coloured water in daylight can fish well......loads of variables tho !!! most people use a clipped pennel rig , hooks dont need to be massive but good quality is needed ........no good hitting a 40lb stinger and loseing it through a poor hook ![]() fish sandeel as a good allround bet with ragworm being preferred by stingers dont rule out local favourites though and each area has its top baits and tide times.......could give info for the iow only really but rays are a good target from the shore and give a good chance of catching a reasonable sized fish, good hunting and hope you nail one |
