Despite the zub zero temperatures me and ed had to get out away from the beer and christmas food was in 2 minds where to go and last minute decided on gillkicker , arrived at 7pm realising i had forgotten my shelter so had to cuddle up to ed in his tactics were 1 rod big lug / squid baits for the nodders 2nd rod scratching with rag , squid ,hemit well bites from the off from the schoolies and they just didnt stop , at times i just reeled in and left the scratcher out of the water , too bloody cold to keep rebaiting , not a touch all night on the big baits , no weed and we were able to hold bottom on 6oz grippers alough the fellas to the right of me opted for 3 oz leads resulting in catching my lines 2 or 3 times ended up with school bass for 1 1/2 points , ed faired better with whiting , poor cod and schoolies for 4 1/2 i think he may have had a pout as well , brilliant night out under the stars and bright moonlight it was damn cold at times but never the less fun , decided to call it a night at 4.15 this morning as the screeching of tyres and headlights going round in circles in the car park where we were parked was getting worrying especially as it was frosted over , theres going to be a death there soon , bloody loons

Was a nice session mate without the weed for a change, practically a bite a chuck with Rag being best bait and Macky for the Whiting. Nice bit of surf and a little swell till high when the wind swung round and the sea was like a mill pond.

My catches consisted of Poor Cod, Bass and Whiting!

I couldn't believe nothing showed at distance seems to be getting to that time of year to down size hooks/baits etc
