Seaford 2/1/2010

First foray of the year, decided to fish local beach as icy roads forcast, we set up about 7pm HT at 00.15, baits used were squid,mackie,ragworm,cuttlefish.
Me and Rick both set up with two rods apiece and hit the whiting first cast with both rods but only small stuff so they went back to get bigger! It was hit and miss all evening with preriods of frantic activety and then dead spells to half an hour or more, but all in all not a bad night. We finnished at 1am fozen stiff with numb hands,feet and everything else. Species caught were whiting ( best of was 1lb)pouting and small ling. Prob wont go for a couple of weeks now but thinking of heading for Pevensey bay for next foray.
