first solo sea outing since broke ankle ...West Bexington 22/12

be advised now this is not a fish filled report

Well last night our house was mental with teenage daughter haveing 6 friends arround, not a place for a fat fourty something bloke to be

so i had to get out, pub or fishingmmm

I couldnt get hold of rich( stuck at work i find out later)

decided as the weather was good .. sod it fishing and going solo( been pikeing on level ground near car butbottled sea since) ...takeing with me some of the bait mountain recieved from the charity match, and decided it was going to be a Solo chesil job

headed over to dorset with the car temp guage showing a balmy - 2*C , got to west bex carpark just before 8 and all but empty ( road down was a tad icey on way down). sea was pretty calm with a slight roll high tide at 9.45pm on neap , moon was out it was lovely , this was looking like a good whiteing night( and still hearing of a few cod so had 1 rod on big bait)

was really very pleasant with massive clear skies , and shooting stars
and with a minimal light northerly actually never felt as cold as it was

well i fished till 11.20pm and didnt even see rods register a touch at all, couldnt believe that it was so totally rubbish
not even a dog or rockling

, found out the others there blanked as well

shingle was frozen solid as left so much easier to walk on, and carpark like a skateing rink

and car gauge showed an even balmier -4*C on way home

and still have a mountain of bait for tonight
think it will be more local, and go for the flounder again

oh well you have to be in it to win it

and was good to get a Solo session under the belt after so long
