| Dungie report Hi guys. well, got to dungie about 4pm tuesday just in time for low tide turning.intended to fish till after HT. took the long walk to the point..(I dont have a key! must sort) I knew it would be cold but boy I'm glad I'm not a monkey! Fished 2 rods, one a 2 hook clip down with lug tipped with squid and second pennel with large squid and lug. cast off and sat down to enjoy a cuppa..poured the drink and first rod went off. not ready, half the cuppa went elsewhere except the cup and straight into the whiting. All well and good to keep you busy and warm when its cold but not what I really wanted. second rod went off bout an hour after low water bloody whiting again so upped the pennel to 6/0 and doubled up on the bait size. lost count of the number of whiting and most went back except 3 of the best for the pan last night...mmmm. also got 4 dogs 2 on each rig but these came between 2 hrs beforeHT upto just after tide turned. must say they were the skiniest most starved looking dogs I ever seen. Not that many people down there but only whiting caught.     |
