| Re: southbourne 22/09/09 I lived in Xchurch for a while, another couple of great spots are: Further around towards Hengistbury Head, there is a jetty of rocks to fish off, Qute a walk but worth it, good for the mackers in the summer and ok Bass 1 - 4 Ib in the winter. My favourite spot is Mudeford quay, they come few and far between but when they come they come! 1 - 15 Ib's Bass in the winter when its rough and the tide is spring, Also caught a great 6Ib grey mullet there on a hot summers day. Speak to the fresh fish stall at the end of the quay, they are extremely helpfull and will also let you have the guts and such and a few cheap mackers if your lucky and ask at the right time!! Good fishing!! |
