| Pingu is back! Exmouth Docks 13/09 Well I knew it wouldn't take long. You can't keep a good man down. You can colour his toe nails green (Nice one Ian!)  but you can't keep him down.  Picked Dave up on Sunday and headed down to the nearest, flatest, closest to the car bit of water we could think of, Exmouth Docks. Of course as it was a nice sunny day the world and his wife were there as well, but we managed to find a bit of space and settled in. There was never going to be any massive fish, or even any new species for the hunt, but it was just good to be out. Dave immediately got down to the business at hand and lost a float early on, whilst I snagged a bottom rig and had bent the hook straight having retrieved a ton of weed. Some things will never change!  We did both manage a few fish, mostly small Wrase with the odd Goby thrown in for good measure. Real "school boy" type fishing.  A short messing about type session, but really, really needed. Good to see ya back mate. Weston next yeah??? PINGU IS BACK!!! __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. Bait…… BAIT! Sh*t, where’s the bait?     |
