| This is how to fish from a beach lol This is my 3rd part to my weeks sea fishing 1st being weymouth thats on my mobile phone and yesterday with pompey bass man . Looking outside my window the wind didn't fill me with confidence so I went to my local pompey tackle shop who put me onto Hayling Island ( a cod was caught yesterday ) . So off I went , once I got there I was even more deflated the wind was in my face and cold great thanks hurriccane bill and trying to set my tripod up was fun . Using 2 flapper rigs with ragworm and squid as bait I set up and got with my fishing with high tide due in around 4pm . So casting between 10 to 20 yards out , I hoped that the fish were close inshore due to the rough seas . After 20 to 30 mins I struck lucky and landed this little beauty  After cheacking my tide guide it turned out to be a red mullet. Then I got really lucky after trying to catch bass yesterday I hit the jackpot . I managed to land a few small bass about 1/2 pound . Then I changed to squid , when I couldn't work out why my line had moved I started to reel in then I got the shock of my life as well . Weighing in at 2lb 10oz . By the time hide tide came in the weather got worse and I called it a day a VERY HAPPY ANGLER. Not a bad day considering the weather and the fact I haven't done this for ages . __________________ I fish there fore I am.     |
