massive pollocks is on a distinguished road
Question portishead sat 13th

fished off ladye bay in boat from 7.30am til 4.00pm.3 anglers x 6 rods.very very slow for the cod.3 small codling 2 dogs n 4 thornbacks.still better than watching telly.any 1 else fished it?

thanks for your replies. i had 3 thornies up to 9lb 4oz & 1 small codling which i put back.other boats never saw many cod either.from my expierience fishing the bristol channel beaches i have done better from the tides that arnt the biggest ones maybe same from boat,though most anglers say they prefer the bigger ones.big tides& casting a distance=massive pull on line,followed by big rafts of weed =grip leads pulled out.
