decided to try te first float sesh of the year as its my personal favorite way of fishing. arrived at 2pm and left at 7. high tide was at 4. i was using fresh sandeel and it worked brilliantly. i was constantly realing in shoal bass. i lost count after 32! i was every now and again getting some small pollock and then the all disapeared after 5. isaw loadsa small mullet rising so i knew that ment bigger ones underneath. i stuck a bit of bread around the hook and stuck all the split shots down by the hook to sink it fast before the litle bugers would nab it. i left it for 10 mins and then. the bob. then another bob then i shot under faster than i have evr see a float go uinder before. took me prox 4 mins to get the fish in as i was using a super flimsy rod. a thick lipped mullet estimated at 4 - 41/2 lb. cracking fight on light gear and will defenatly start fishing for mullet somemore.
