both Ronnie & shez were up for this while Ashley had succumbed to the usual distraction ( tasha) his g/f and elected to stay home ( wonder why?)
grandad bob + my missus tagged along for the day leaving scant room for any decent fishing gear to be packed.
either way we were just about organised with spinning & float gear b4 we remembered an opticains appointment for me and ronnie at 6pm.
well a promise is a promise and so dusk found us arriveing at mudeford.
ronnie & shez played about in the park while bob and i had a wee dangle
high tide was for approx 23 00, with only whitebait and manky squid for bait i wern't too hopefull.
i float fished for a bit with no joy til dark before dropping ledger rigs into crabcity.
all was fruitless for quite some time & i was getting bored till a guy came across for a chat , and interesting natter about local tactics

before he left he split his bucket of fresh bait with us to give us a fighting chance of something with some fresh rag (bloody great things).

by 2am all i'd seen were a couple of knocks & no fish.
you'd think that the smoothys would show around there with that number of crab about.
