Babbacombe pier Tuesday 9/11

Was a very interesting night tonight.

Fished the pier from 4pm to 12am. Lots of whiting (a dozen) but also a first for me tonight: two fish on one hook (2x whiting). I was using a 4/0 to stop all the teenie weenie little blighters hooking on.

Also had one doggie which got hooked through its middle fin so it gave me a good fight bringing it in.

I also had two enourmous bites but both times they broke free half way through reeling it in. No idea what they were but I was struggling to bring them both in so I'm a little gutted about that.

I had a very good feeling tonight was going to be a good night. I wasn't dissapointed. Wish I could fish again tomorrow.

I met another forum member as well tonight. I can't remember the nick on here but thanks for coming along tonight Mark, good to see you!

still need to properl;y test my new rod n reel, new reel good but only had 1 cast with new rod

Well done Simon, sounds a good night. I've had nights where you bring 2 fish in at once, normally whiting or flatties, only seem to get that when there's loads around though, good fun!

Sounds like you had a good night...must try babbacobe some time have not been down for a while.
