fished jacobs last night with a couple of mates from club looking for an early ray from there, walked down as far as the tank traps where the cliffs get a bit higher and on a wee bit more sorry didnt get a new pic so found this one from old post the traps is where the guy on the right is just behind paul and kerry, i was up nearer the guy fishing in far distance fishing was poor only had 1 dog myself the others only having dogs as well the ray are still not showing Now the serious bit!! the warning is about those far cliffs though( from paul and kerry onnwards there are now several new falls and whilst there we could here a few more small falls, and there are loads of new fissures appearing towards 2/3=3/4 way up cliffs so falls inmminent so if you do venture down there, 1: set up away from cliffs 2: dropping tides so get away from cliffs may be better 3: let someone know you are there or go as a pair otherwise was a lovelly night ![]() dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives

Re: jacobs warning I remember fishing near Lyme Regis back in the 1970s with a couple of mates. A length of cliff about 50 metres long & right behind us, started to slide down the beach towards us. You'd never seen three blokes run so fast in all your life. It was eerie as it made almost no sound. I think because it was sliding on wet clay. The tide was also well up with not much space between cliff & sea, so we got wet feet as we legged it.... Good advice though Dave. I'm supprised the coastguard don't close the beach when it's so dodgy. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey...

Re: jacobs warning should say so as not too overly worrypeople most of jacobs is fine, its only high tides and the far end that needs "thinking about" __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives
