| south parade pier, portsmouth 1-5-09 my mate phoned me up at 9:30 ( as we had inset day at our school, and he woke me up ) so we were down the peir and set up by 1030, no bait just feathers and so i cast out iinstatly i was into a mackie  then ihad a few more casts and then another mackie ( my poor mate diddnt no what he was doing rong, he hadnt caught any thing  then strait away one more cast and anothere one this one was camera shy.my mate got bored and wet home. i went up on te pier and cast out a got a fare size garie  and then the biggest garie of my life 2 pound it wieghed on the scales , as it started get darki choped up 1 of the mackies into baitafter an hour of the bait in the water i got a half decent bite and pulled up a tiny bass  and then i sed ill go home in 20 mins, so i had 1 more cast and no more bite(well that i saw) reeled in to go home and a tiny little flounder was on there  good days fishing do i get points for that??     |

| Re: south parade pier, portsmouth 1-5-09 Good on ya ... but I've caught a million and one gars and except for houndfish, none weigh more than a pound and a quarter from the pier or the beach beside it. Thassit, really ... how big are your feet?   |

| Re: south parade pier, portsmouth 1-5-09 Really good to hear all this. I ordered my bait today to pick up Thursday. Will give Selsey a go on friday ( the daughter's down there)and will report back. So much for the good weather forecast for the weekend, it was flipping cold around my gills. |
