 we knew we should have gone to the pub!!!! last night was a case of , where the hell do we fish friday night weather had been lovely , but i was out with a group from work in town ( was a poor night but pt 1 of a double celebration with another party sat night) but baggie and me had planned a saturday trip , and so the evening comes arround and the weather is not good ( re 'kin orrible  ) so as i stood on baggies drive with the rain lashing down and gusty and very strong S/E wind driveing it into us it was "Where the hell do we go?" both were thinking PUB!!!!!  , the south beaches were out as tooo lumpy, so it was decided an estuary somewhere and decided East portlemouth and lets try for a ray againDue to the foul weather and some random navigation ( went down wrong side of eatuary  ) we werent there till 9.20 , but the torrential rain had stopped  where we met some anglers leaving who had not had a bite between them , this didnt bode well and we were fishing the wrong tide as wellanyway we were there now , we couldnt think of anywhere else sheltered so fish it we would   3 hours later enough was enough!!!, we hadnt seen a single bite and the weed was getting horrendous luckily the rain held off untill we started driving and it was wipers the whole way back again a dire night and i was shattered at work this morning and of course the weather looks ok for this evening  Thats It i am not doing anymore East Portlemouth for ages!!!! 1: it takes ages to get too 2: 5 trips and only ever 4 pollock and a rockling to show 3: I'll get a thornie up the Channel 4: I missed a damn good party sat night for that  dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |
