herne bay today

had an early morning session on the beach at herne bay.
conditions were good, not a lot of action,

very quiet until some numpty decided to fish right next to me and started feathering(yes, feathering in november),
needless to say he got nothing,i moved up the beach(who wouldn't) and started getting bites, got 2 or 3 nice whiting but as usual with that place the tide went out quickly and the bites dried up.
nice to get out and wet a line, newhaven next, will bag up there ! ,i hope

Re: herne bay today

Nice one, Paul - is that the last time you're gonna be able to go before the 27th? I'm certainly intending to get out this week sometime, but I know your circumstances don't always allow you to get out as much as you like ...

I was thinking about doing Reculver or Sheppey some time this week, as the tides are getting bigger and later!

Can't believe that you'd come down the beach with feathers in November - what's that all about? Just plain daft!

Re: herne bay today

hello mate,yes,unbelievable,i couldn't believe my eyes,may have been after bass,i don't know.
you are right i probably wont be going again before the 27th,
apart from work commitments i'm not enjoying my sea fishing at the moment, just lost interest in pouting and whiting bashing, seriously considering going coarse only, perhaps i need a rest for a while, perhaps the crack at newhaven will liven things up a bit for me,
we shall see,i still enjoy chatting about it on here,so who knows
i used to be a quite serious club angler, perhaps i'm not enjoying going on my own,
time will tell/

Cheers,
JB.

Re: herne bay today

will still do newhaven john, looking forward to it,

just get that feeling that i dont want to do it any more,i was getting bites on the admiralty last week ,i knew they were pouting and i just couldn't be bothered.
i think a bit of good company will do me wonders on the 27th.

You stop that sort of talk soldier! Hey, I blanked yesterday and I decided to put in down to experience (or lack of lol). Looking forward to the 27th. Know what you mean about fishing with mates though, much better

Rob

Re: herne bay today

I went feathering in Herne Bay and this weard Gillingham fan was pretending to fish. Was glad when he moved off up the beach!
