West Bex 21/3 - a few fish

Went to West bex again with kirikomi. looked at West Bay, but there was a large fire with bunch of lads just under the cliffs - so went somewhere darker & more peacefull. Arrived 20:30 spoke to a couple of blokes in car park who were leaving biteless... Walked left (for a change) to find a enough space 300 yds ish, took the place of 2 other biteless anglers and tackled up. Scratching rod nodded a couple of times whilst I set up the 2 main rods, no result. K's rod (2 hook flapper for dogs) gave a couple of twitches and resulted in a pouting, more points for "The Hounds" . My rod (pulley penel) with sandeel wrapped in squid / crab / large chunk of Mac stayed still most of ther night. K then had 3 doggies in quick sucsession, getting smaller as they went. Put scrathing rod to one side - this was looking busy. Swapped pulley for a three hook flapper about 23:00 & snagged a doggy of my own on smaller mackerel baits. Fished on till 02:30, with only a couple more bites. Packed up & went home. Lovely night for fishing - shame there wern't more fishies.

Must have been a cracking night for it mate, shame there weren't any fish, but they'll come sooner or later.
