| Solent fishing Hey everyone, Just register today I never knew this site existed. Could anyone help. I am planning on going out tomorrow and I have heard the fishing is poo at the moment. Has anyone had any luck around the solent area (beach fishing). Any pointers would be great! |

Yep, Thornbacks at Hill Head; but you need to be familiar with tides and almost certainly better after dark from 'The Spit'. Don't be afraid to imitate the Thames boys who fish herring (or mackerel) cut as chunks across the backbone with loadsa 'guts' in. Plaice are nowhere in numbers. I feel a spurt coming on as water temps slowly climb. 'scuse mee! |
