Jacobs last night

well i had the bait and needed to get out, unfortunately no car but baggie came to the rescue and so we decided to go for a really early ray at jacobs ( ever hopefull) , arrived a bit before 8 and walked a fair way down beach and set up,

rich was to say the least a bit dis organised and so it was 15-20 mins after i was fishing that he got eventually 2nd rod sorted after relineing 1 rod and shockleadering both

we were both fairly confident ( god knows why as never heard of a ray from here till end april/may but with last weeks warm weather who knows), both fished with 1 rod double sandeel and we also had a 2nd rod out with 2/0 flappers for bass( again early but who knows)

first blood was down to me with a good old doggie on the sandeel

this actually deflated us a bit as usually if the dogs are in the ray arent

and thats what happened , i ended up with 3 dogs and several missed bites and Rich was getting good bites but not connecting

somehow dispite the inactivity we fished on and eventually packed up way later than we expected and so even missed the kebab, at least i remembered a 4 pack to save the evening

Wot, no Kebab? I hope you both redeemed yourselves by making last orders at the pub. I could have told you there would'nt be any Ray there. They are all heading to Charmouth ready for Steve & I on Saturday....
