well i dragged the whole tribe out today to mess about n drown a worm or 2,

1st stop was keyhaven for a dangle off the wall,
weapons of choice were a couple of heavy spinning rods for me and ash, fishing short flowing traces.
and a pair of 1.8m tele lidls rod & reel kits for ron & shez, set with floats.
fished over high water without a bite but lots of the usual tangles to keep me and ashley busy then buggered off to pub after a battle with shez who wanted to stay.
ron & me decided to walk off our lunch on the coast path in the direction of
pennington but as i rounded the corner and saw how far it was gonna be + bin there b4 , not much to look at , we wandered back, to go somewhere else,
everyone wanted another beach bar ronnie who wanted to see a castle, i'd pointed out hurst to him from pennington.
after stopping at the cut bridge & explaining at some length how far away hurst castle was ron was still on the idea like a terrier on a rat, and wouldn't give up.

we left ash , pat and sherilee who bottled out,at the cut bridge and set off for the castle, about a 2 hour round trip walking it on shingle,right around the castle and took a look at the light house.



and i was impressed, not a word of complaint from ron who was enthusiastic with every step. not bad at all , he only turned 7 in febuary.

from there we left for avon beach so i could finish the day with a quiet fish,
found the road at the firtrees rammed with anglers cars, there were a comp on.
ended up at friars cliff carpark , met up with lee, who ive not seen for years & didnt recognise at 1st, sorry m8,

anyway, fished for an hour or so at dusk with the tide just starting to flood?
spinning rod- wishbone rig-size 4 hooks & rag, had a few rattles & caught a whiteing by dark.
that was enough as not a blank, took some sleepy kids back home ,(especially ron)_

Ah families, very hard to keep everyone happy, but sounds like you managed. Hopefully you earned some brownie points though mate.

Fence stained , trees cropped , and general tidy up so yes gord , ive earned my points mate , be out tommorow night somewhere , not sure yet

plaice hunt tomorrow morning- either hayling or stokes as a long shot .
me dad might be tagging along.
might do thornbacks in the evening depending on dad,
