 in a way i needed that( budliegh/pub tonight) as the fishing is so god damn dire i neeed something to just raise the spirits had a good day with kids etc and then england winning despite form and then ireland whipping the french( anyone whipping the french makes me happy  )then had a shout from si from club that there was a fish in/wet a line session at budliegh this eve / tonight, expect diddly but we all needed to get out    . well rich and myself turned up at 7.30 to find 5 others there and decided on good old banter first befoire fishing , then 1 rod each as we half heartedly fished whilst randomly takeing the pee out of all others( and getting back) fishing the scratching b*stard route  .I somehow managed a double shot of whiteing and a tiny crab( 1 and a half hours and 2 casts tell you how it was more social than fishing) come 9pm and we all upsticked for various pubs/fridges with beer, but it was just what i needed  when leaving pub was looking a tad chilly  but big thanks rich / si i needed that sorry about the 3-0 at dartsthough rich but makes up for the multiple drubbings at pool  dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |

| Re: in a way i needed that( budliegh/pub tonight) There may be a few more of than type of session before April/May gets here. 12 rods last night, only for a few hours admittedly, but to only catch 2 whiting and a couple of rockling tells you just how bad the fishing is at the moment. Still, a night is what you make it, and in the end it turned out a cracker... Good banter on the beach before adjourning to the local. Even the stupid 'arra throwing stuff was a good laugh. (Can I just say, who ever thought of the "double to finish" rule was a proper sadist.  ) I am surprised Dave hasn't posted my "best 'arra" pic. | Re: in a way i needed that( budliegh/pub tonight) It's that time of the year to, do all those respooling, knot tying, tackle cleaning jobs that you have put off throughout the good times last year. Go to the pub after not before. 7 turn blood knots have a tendency to come out a bit wrong. Beads & swivels suddenly end up in the wrong order after you have crimped both ends.
