well after aborting last nights plans for chesil due to strong easterlie winds
i thought i'd reccy a new venue and have a wee chuck for a flattie.

so i payed a little visit to the nearest tackle emporium to equip myself with some rag & had to buy another rod which beconed me from the shop window,
( , slowly heading into the realms of- a tackle tart)

it was a hell of a walk b4 i started fishing - due to ;;;;;-

1, aah, nice fishy looking spot , but did i lock the car?- walk back and check.

2, set up beachbuddy n rods, ok where's the bait,- dismantle camp & walk back to car &retrieve bait.

i fished about 5 hours up n over high water,
the wind howled up the river from the south east & it was bloody cold

baits rag/squid/lug.

rigs - 3 hook flapper (blinged)
bomber.
wishbone.
all hooks 2's or 4's.

caught- random bits of weed and a branch from a hawthorn tree that happened to drift by.

no fish, not even a bite.

i'd had enough of shivering by 4.30 and went home , camera failed so no pic of venue.

unless conditions are spot on for chesil i think i'll quit till about march.

Un-lucky Gord, sounds like all that walking should keep you fit though mate . What Rod did you buy?

1-3oz 10ft kick about rod - spin/estuary/float.

so's i got somethin when ash nicks my ron thompson spin rod for light work .

just got yer text re- rods looking at info now.
