| Crosshouse 17/01/09 Fished crosshouse today with eddiec , chunk , aaron and meegan , great days fishing with some massive takes  , i was in first with a walloping bite and run .... hit into a weighted fight against the tide , battled it up and had to get ed to hold the rod as i had to lift it up by the shock , landed it and weighed it , tesco carrier bag with a brick inside on the bottom hook , 5 lb of weed on the top hook , weighed in at 9lb 7ozs  ........ first for me off the shore , next me and ed were in at the same time , both had cracking rod bending takes , as we both battled our catch at the same time , eds was pulling him down the quay  , then gone  .......... both lost our catch at the same time , just as well as i never tried to weigh a swan , and dont think he would be that happy lol , , all went quiet for an hour when ed looked up and said look at that take lee , jumped up and struck into a monster bloody hard fight all the way in , then 10 ft from the quay it spat the hook .......... biggest catch of the day and gone ..as the log swamback off in the tide , we reflected on the days spoils lol.... no bites .... no fish ...... but bloody fun  ,lee. __________________ If Everyday things are getting you down & stressing you out, Think like a Dog, If it cant be Eaten or Humped, Piss on it and walk away..     |

The easiest way to weigh a swan is by tucking it under your arm & standing on those big scales in shopping centres, if you use the ones that take your blood pressure at the same time all the better.
