loads of fish........I WISH

high sea not a chance what a calm day

me and a couple of freinds hatched a plan to go out on our boats and try a few marks in hope of a cod or 2.
so at -6c i got to the boat at 7.30 to a very cold frozen looking boat which was gentaly awoken, and then meet up with dave and head to hill head in the light fog, and collin went to south brambles at some silly time in the early morning, and just after dinner i a had a 1 bite, dave still had not had a touch and collin had already moved to leap and had still not even manged a bite.
so i cracked a couple of beers open which froze back up the second i opened them

and then had to sit them next to the cooker b4 i could drink them
by 1.30 dave moved to west ryde and i head to a hole just off calshot which has never let me down for a pout or 2 in hope bigger things might be in the deep to feed on the pout.........
once i got anchored in the 70' hole i dropped down and had to fight the very strong tide but on the first drop i had a whiting and then again on the next drop i had another whiting....wwwwoooo hhhooo

saved me a blank, even if 1 might have been slighty foul hooked.
but then again it was dead. by 3pm and 2 phone calls later dave still had not had a bite and collin was already in the pub. so i moved in to hamble rive to my favourt flounder spot in hope of a flattie or a bonus bass, but again it was dead . to the point of been dead the was not even a crab in the deeper channel. so it was then my turn and i head to the pub and rang dave who was on his way to the slipway and on route to the pub.
later spoke to another friend who was out too and he fished gilkicker and got the vermin hatrick 1 dog 1 pout and 1 pin whiting

got say it was 1 of the hardest days fishing in a long long time. and has now made me think its time to whip the boat out and do some work on her which iv been putting off for a few years and stick with some fluff chucking when the lakes are not frozen and maybe have a play with some pond fish unless the opertunity comes up to go out deep for blondes and spurs
