 fish never appreciate the effort we put in ok so not too much physical effort last night but maybe big points for team speckled hen for stupidity maybe the weather report was dire to say the least, but it was sunday and we always fish sunday ( well ok wed as well), so where the hell to go with rain and big south westerlies( gusts up to 50mph  ) initial plan babacombe, but as we were a bit late heading off decided closer, theres a spot high up the estuary that points north with trees behind for shelter  lets try that over low i thought well we sloshed and got blown all the 15 min way to the mark, where we found the trees gave no shelter whatso ever so we jumped the wall and slid down to the soft banking, where we were sheltered better from the wind but nowt else both quickly decided only 1 rod each, and this proved good as mine got blown over very quickly so was fishing rods almost horizontal after 2 1/2 hours of being blasted and rained on we called it quits, too late even for a pint and both too soaked and tired for a kebab either, both knowing we should have just gone to the pub in the first place at least still got loads of bait left next time as ever  dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |
