seatown, saturday night

Hi all. Fished at seatown saturday night with two mates.
Arrived about 5.30pm, high tide at about 8.40.
Fished the beach to the right of the stream. Bait fresh lug, frozen black
lug & squid.
I fished a bass rod with an aerlex GT8000. Rig a 1 up 1 down, with 2/0
kamasans. First cast at about 6.00, produced a plump whiting of about
3/4lb. to lug/squid cocktail. From then on it was fish almost every cast.
Mostly whiting about 30cm, the best to my mate Kev, at nearly 35cm.
Also plenty of pout, some pushing 1lb. Two of us also had a few dogs
each, best about 2lb.
When we packed up at 11.00, we had caught about 40 fish between us.
Most went back, but a few whiting were taken.
The weather was not bad. A light westerly, not too cold. Bit of surf.
All in a great night with the combination of great company & good fishing.

Nice one Matt. Like Ping says we fished there on Saturday too, a pleasant enough evening, but I was kinda hoping for something a touch larger...
