| East end Chesill Sat night Going to enjoy the last of the good weather tomorrow eve/night. Any tips for Chesil cove or area appreciated. Plan is for light rods during the daylight for mackies / gar / anything obliging, then heavier gear for Conger Bait will probably be squid/ sandeel / mack (frozen unless catch any fresh) with a bit of worm if I can get some. Never fished it before so not sure what to expect. __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |

| Re: East end Chesill Sat night The light on fish sessions continue, with a stunning failure by myself to catch a sausage. Kirikomi on the other hand used my rod to catch a trigger fish on popped up worm. At the time I was half way up Mount Everest, or whatever they call the hill on Portland, fetching, as all good sherpas do, some fish and chips for her tea. Thanks to Martin who helped with the unhooking. Will post a photo when I get it. What can i say, the sun went down the night closed in, the doggies just didn't show, had a few unmissable knocks on worm from possibly pouting which I missed. Martin next door was catching them on a pennel rig with worm & squid. One of which was savaged by something large. Gave up at 03:00 disappointed, but only because I didn't see the trigger.... Roll on next trip. __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |

| Re: East end Chesill Sat night Chesil is really tough at the moment with a severe lack of seasonal visitors, that is the first Trigger Fish I have heard of all year, well done. We should start to see some cod and whiting this month but don't hold your breath. Jon __________________ Portland Jon Anyone can catch 'em when they are there.
