 pleasent hour for points and a pint had another day off today( honest i dont want but works far too slack at moment) so decided to take some of the very poor bait left over from sat comp down to docks big water rush before high so pottered about with some wrasse and blennies with the dead ragworm down the dock wall, as high approached saw others catching so on with a float and manky sandeel,also bob from club arrived so a good natter as well, and would you believe it 2nd or 3rd drift bingo the target first gar of the year ( no need to worry now baggie) and points   guy beside was catching plenty and didnt want so was happy to add to my freezer as pike/whiting bait tide turned ( got about 1/2 hour stand today) and all went dead so after finishing off the ragworm with some more wrasse it was home via a swift pint in local on way ( practice on right arm for darts tonight)  dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |

| Re: pleasent hour for points and a pint just to add that its not just rivers that are nursery's.......everyone seems to think it is only rivers the amount of people i see fishing harbours and marinas from boat with live eels is unbelievable......not every harbour is a nursery but there is alot of them! check up on rules and regs before going out! the loss of your gear and a hefty fine isnt worth it __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |
