| West Bay 27 August 2008 Paid a visit to the Harbour yesterday to try float fishing in the sea for the first time for ages. I fished the end of the West Pier and gave it three hours in and around the harbour mouth. A solitary mackerel obliged but it was the only bite of the morning. Interestingly, the harbour itself was packed with holiday makers catching 6 inch Joey mackerel on small feathers (which, needless to say I didn't have with me). I'll definitely go back to try and get a few for bait. __________________ Rich "If a thing's worth doing it's worth doing to excess!" |
