well the weather forcast was dire with strong( read galeforce S/w winds and showers) yep doom and gloom predicted all eve, so the first plan of smutt action at seaton was dropped in favour of something a bit different

so it was in the middle of one or these showers( read torrential downpours) that i picked up £4 ragworm praying to get fishing in eve( well it was wed)

picked up the baggie one and headed off along with Stu from club again to our chosen spot

decided on a sheltered ( we hoped ) spot for a bit of rough ground wrasse and huss action

slipped and slided our way there and soon set up

and too our amazement the sea was like a millpond, no wind and dry( i love the fact the met office is only 15 mile away and dont look out window)

Rich was in first cast with a nice ballan of 1 1/2 lb

this was going to be good
he was then in on next 2 casts with a corkwring wrasse( his first) and a big rockling

Stu and myself just stared at our rods
but that unfortunately that was it for the night

and as the tide reached low it wa a snag and lost lead/rig a cast as found out had a big reef infront of me ( luckily I picked up 15 5oz DCM grippers for £5 at bootsale today bargain)

a pleasent eve again good company but boy do i need a good fish soon, this is becomeing hard work
