| Brighton marina 8/8/08 Myself and lewis decided to fish the marina last night whilst the wind and weather wasn't to bad over low water in chance for a sole or two....unfortunately there were no sole to be had due to the amount of pout there! Never had so many pout bites as soon as the bait hit the water but never the less was a nice night and a challenging one in the way that trying to catch something other then a pout was going to be a big task. After some time of catching pout i managed a small palm sized Thornie followed by one more in quick succession......then back to the pout....all taken on lug, blacks and mack strip. Decided to target hounds with a bit of peeler after that which didnt let my down as i caught one on first chuck and it was a monster......it must of at least gone to 4once!!! lol never mind though had my fair share of hounds this year and its nice to see some pups being caught for future years! after that i had eel and a couple of pout. eel wasn't big but i did take a pic but not worth posting as lewis out did me with a bigger one! Fish for myself for the night was.....11 pout 2 thorn backs 1 eel and 1 hound....all small stuff but was nice to get out! oh and most of all i beat lewis \o/ lol makes a change! Pics to follow due to my phone being rubbish....so lewis has pics for the species hunt....eel and thorn back.     |

| Re: Brighton marina 8/8/08 Well done Ollie .... will put the pictures of the thornback ray and silver eel on as soon as i can ... at the moment when i connect my phone to my pc it seems to say the program I'm using to transfer files is already busy and I cant get to my phone files ... often have this problem but i'll stick on here when it finally co-operates. |
