| Scabbacombe I fished scabbacombe for the 1st time t'other week. its a long old walk to the rocks (45 mins). but lovely when your finally there. not much mackeral bait around, but we managed a few pollack to 2lb. I gotta say the bottom fishing was disappointing, but we put this down to easterly winds, another day could produce better. We had some good wrasse as well around the rocks. One day i'll get a 5 lb'er. if i don't die of old age first. Then i got my 1st strap conger eel. a pb that should'nt be hard to beat. We had to work hard for our fish this time. and would you believe...... not a dogfish in sight all day and night. anyone thinking of fishin here should consider the mostly uphill walk back which took us at least 50 mins. |
