| Boat Trip Sunday 20th July 10 of us went out on True Blue from Poole on Sunday and had a great days fishing. We went about 30 miles straight out to a flat mark known to skipper Steve Porter, tied on the Storm shads and dropped our lines into 165 ft water. Out of the 10 lines, six of us hauled up a cod each within 20 seconds. None of the cod were huge, in fact nothing over about 10 lb, and anything small and not blown was returned immediately to the water and seen to swim away. We all had a great day and caught a goodly number of fish. The wind got up a bit in the afternoon and the trip back to Poole washed the decks down for us. The good thing was that not one bit of groundbait went over the side. Probably because we didn't meet in the 'greasy spoon' first. ![]() __________________ Fruit? - That's what keeps me going. |

| Re: Boat Trip Sunday 20th July Well done, sounds like a good trip had by all. Ahhhh but the groundbaiting does bring the better fish in....I know from own experience, on my last trip I groundbaited all day and the guys all caught cracking fish ![]() __________________ There is certainly something in angling that tends to produce a serenity of the mind." - Washington Irving |
