| hamble river 20/07/08 took my old man out fishing today for the first time since he was ill so we opted for a easy/lazy day on the river. i started on the patch of rough near the mouth and we had doozen pout and few wrasse in a hour or so as te tide got away we manged to get a few small bass, so with the bass are in numbers i set up my fly rod ,got my fly in the shoal, and got smashed up  bit of a habit l8ly. after a another hour or so we got bit board of the small bass and i head in to a marina to try our luck on a mullet and my dad to catch his first ever mullet. in no more than 20 seconds i had a mullet on , not huge but a start. was about 2-3 lb, next my dad had a take and good run and up came a 1 1/2 lb bass. as the tide eased i had one more mullet of about 3-4lb.we then head back in t the mooring and had a few more small bass b4 heading home. all in all a nice day and great to see the old man getting back in to the fishing cheers john __________________ http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...xt80382370.gif     |

Oh Dear , you really are going to be taken away, to the funny farm but when you do hook one WOW!! the best fighters out there. You don't catch many but the ones you do, they make an impact.
