| Had a short session Saturday night With my Lad (Roger) HT about 7.20 p.m and Only had frozen Lug, Hermits, Squid & Mackerel (Not Used) put out 2 rods each using 2 hook wishbones on 3 rods and a pennel rig on rod 4. Pretty strong tide running from west to east and first cast Roger has a few quick rattles and reels in a small Bream - Very rarely seem to get them from here(Jammy Sod - I have yet to catch one) almost immediately I reeled in a small Tub Gurnard - Another rarity it seems from here. Pretty dead otherwise with all others fishing there blanking. We noticed a few Gulls diving so had a quick change to shrimp lures/flasha lures and Roger reeled in 3 mackerel second throw followed by 5 for me then they disappeared as quickly as they turned up - I think one or two guys on the beach had a couple. So for Once we seemed to do OK and our timing for the Mackerel was perfect. Final Tally Roger: 1 Bream + 3 Mackerel = 4 Me: 1 Gurnard + 5 Mackerel = 6 One Day he will beat me, he is getting better & the casting is also improving. He seems to love sea fishing |
