all for charidee folks

well last year the club held a fundraiser for our new RNLI station in october and the conditions were horrendous, so this year the decision was to move it to July when it would be hot and sunny

so this is what greeted me at 7pm on budliegh beach

some in the club were even stupid enough to give it a go

i must admit i decided fairly swiftly that it was pointless, and a txt to paul made mind up that pub was definately a better option, so rods stayed in car( yes i whimped it)

back in clubhouse later for the raffle and i blanked there as well
but the RNLI shield stays where it is for the moment as no one caught in the comp and will be fished for another night

and the local RNLI are better off to the tune of £330+ ( still counting) not bad for such an horendous night

cant wait for octobers weather now

Re: all for charidee folks

I drove past the beach at about 5:45pm last night and saw a couple of nutters and Tony McG's car so I parked up to say hello. The wind was rocking the car from side to side as I got out and the surf was massive. I did briefly get down to the water, called the lads fishing there insane a couple of times and drove home.

Good effort with regards to money raised.... I suppose Bab's shook a few by the leg to see what fell out did she??? Unfortunately, I didn't see anybody I could hand my money over to, so there a few more quid here for the total.

Re: all for charidee folks

Wise decision made IMHO......you would have to be barking mad trying to fish in those conditions....well done on raising a nice sum for the RNLI
