Question Where are the ray this year

did another stupid trip hunting ray again last night

jacobs is really out of sorts and not heard of anything there yet, so it was travelling time again

Plan was after a quick social with exworkmates in lyme it seemed rude not to take the rods and fish over the low at either seatown or charmouth, as over that way, so saved fuel etc

well the social went on alot longer than expected
1: was a good crack and nice to see the old nutters again
2: the heavens opened arround 9.30 when was going to leave, so it was back in for 5 mins shelter

so was actually still in pub at kicking out time, and I was buzzing on coke( now i know why kids get so bad with it) and got to charmouth nearer 12
the skies had cleared and was a fantastic eve with a good shooting star display as well

fished to the right of the prom again, there was another person obviously bass fishing in centre, and must have had something as photos ere taken

fished 1 rod with 2 x 2/0 pennel and sandeel and the other with some left over crab to see if a smut about

had 1 good "dogfish" type bite, could have been a ray but i dont want to dissapoint myself, so of course you fish on
eventually at 3am the coke was wearing off and I admitted defeat
headed home with dawn breaking behind me in rear view mirror

where the hell are the ray this year, usually at end of june its big decisions wethere to hunt ray or smoothound, this year there seems only 1 choice and its not ray( my fave)

anyone else from this area finding the ray( i know alot from arround here read these posts but dont post themselves), but if you know give us a heads up its doing my swede in at the moment

oh well next time
