Thumbs down stokes bay , lifeboat station.

it was all a bit half harted really , i was late away at 1900 and started to loose interest as i drove towards the coast with the wind just getting stronger and stronger from the south west.
i arrived about 21.30 and spent 1/2 hour setting up , it was low water and i baited with whole squid on a pennelled pulley rig hopeing for a bass in the chocolatey turbulent surf.
i retired to the shelter of me bivvy for a fag and just couldn't be arsed to emerge again to set up t'other rod and face another buffeting by the gusting wind ( xweather logged 36mph mid solent) my grip weight was the only thing stopping the rod & rest getting blown back towards gosport.
sometime later i ventured out to retrieve my rig to find it was snagged & heavily weeded and so pulled for a break/packed up & left the beach by 23.00.
driveing back down the m27 i mused the mag lane would be nice and sheltered, but on that note *uggered off home instead

Re: stokes bay , lifeboat station.

Isn't it, that sometimes you don't really want to fish but just sit there and chill from the hectic every day things?

Well, at least I do at times but I'm not as crazy as you GJ, sitting on a beach when it's blowing a huli lol......10/10 for giving it a go though
