Shame about there being no hounds there but to be honest the east beach is very hit and miss....and i find that if they do turn up there you get them for about half hour ish then they disappear.....you probably could of got away with fishing the west beach but i know how you feel when you get there and it looks totally un fisherble......the weed down there seems to come and go through out the night but it can be a pain in the butt!

Sounds like you all had a great day though and some nice fish there also.....was there no wrasse caught? normally one or two nice ones come up down there....the normal bream so i see and a couple of nice bass! well done on them and well done for sticking it out. Wish i had been able to make it but maybe see some of you down there another day.

Great write up and well done to Tyson on winning the cup!!

Well what can i say?

I left my house at 8.00am sat morning to go to selsey. i arrived there about 11.20am. I was the first one there so i decided to get some sleep. after a little while ian and steve arrived so we had a quick pint in the pub after a few more had arrived i realised that i was the only one who had no rag worm so a quick trip to the shop and that was all sorted.

after dave and baggie arrived we went for a walk to the proprosed fishing location to see what the weed looked like, after a little deliberation we decided to fish the east beach.

on my first cast i had a trio of black bream. i was steadily catching small black bream and noticed dave was clearing all the weed (unintentionaly) and was not catching whilst everyone else was I then decided to get a little bit of a sleep.

once night fall hit i decided to drop a bluey head close to the groin, just as i was putting the rod back on the stand it started to bounce i was a bit confused so i started to wind in and a nice little 1lb 1/2 bass was on the end. I will admitt i was luck to get the 3lb bass as the line broke with all of the weed and only when the water droped i was luck enough that the libne had snagged.

It was good to meet some old faces and meet some new and a good day/night. Thankyou tio steve for goin to the chinese shop and tghe bbq at 2.30 in the mornin. I will be back next year to defend my new crown. Also well done to dave for persavering to catch a black bream.
