Gents.

I've just read a thread on another forum that makes absolute sense to me and made me realise that I may have hurt the two fish in the picture above.

The photo in this report of me holding the two hounds is a shining example of how *NOT* to hold these magnificent fish. Their spines are not designed to support their body weight by their tails and this has massive potential to damage the fish.

Please, not not follow my bad example, but instead support the fish as everyone else was doing from underneath.

Needless to say that having learnt about this, I'm totally ashamed of the picture, but I'm going to leave it where it is in the hope others might learn how to properly treat them as well.

You may feel this post seems a little over the top, but I seriously love catching these fish and the thought of causing damage to one makes me feel sick. Please don't do what I did. Treat them with the respect they deserve.
